Git behind firewall...

Trying to setup to compile vlc at work.

After the first successful clone from

 git clone git://git.videolan.org/vlc-ports/android.git  

All the git now ended in
fatal: unable to connect to git.videolan.org:
.... errno=Connection timed out
...  errno=Network is unreachable

So looks someone in the IT doesn't quite like what I'm doing on decided to block the git (9418)...
